For nearly four decades, Metrohomes has shaped Toronto's residential landscape with precision and purpose. What started as a vision to build better homes has grown into one of the GTA's most trusted design-build firms.

Founded in 1988 by Joe Di Vita, Metrohomes Design Build began with a simple conviction: that great homes are built at the intersection of thoughtful design and meticulous construction. From the beginning, Joe believed that the people who design a home should be the same people who build it — eliminating the disconnect that plagues traditional construction and delivering results that truly reflect the homeowner's vision.

That design-build philosophy remains at our core. Our architects, engineers, and construction teams work under one roof, attending the same meetings and sharing the same goal. When designs are drawn with buildability in mind from day one, budgets stay realistic, timelines stay on track, and the final product matches the original vision.

Over the years, we've expanded beyond traditional construction into a full-service firm. Today, Metrohomes offers licensed real estate services, property management, and specialized expertise in garden suites, multiplex development, and custom new builds. With over 300 completed projects across the Greater Toronto Area, our deep local knowledge covers everything from Toronto's zoning bylaws to neighbourhood-specific building requirements.
